At Meeru, operated by Alieke Everts, your privacy matters. This page explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and how we keep it safe — all in clear, no-nonsense language.
By using this site, signing up for an offer, or making a purchase, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Who we are
This website is operated by:

Alieke Everts
Drift 128

The Netherlands
For any privacy-related questions, you can reach us at: hallo@meeru.nl
2. What data we collect
We only collect the personal data you actively provide or that’s automatically collected for functionality and marketing.
This includes:
Your first name and email address (when you sign up for free downloads, newsletters, or contact us)
Your full name, address, and payment info (if you make a purchase via ThriveCart)
IP address and browser/device info (via tracking tools)
3. How we collect your data
We collect data through:
Sign-up forms (hosted via ActiveCampaign or ThriveCart)
Purchase forms (hosted via ThriveCart, processed via Stripe)
Tracking tools like Meta Pixel, Conversions API, and Hotjar — these help us understand how people use the site so we can improve the experience. (Hotjar may record things like clicks, scrolls, or page views — but it doesn’t collect personal details like your name or payment info.)
We do not currently use Google Analytics or similar analytics tools.
4. Why we collect this data
We collect your data to:
Deliver products or services you purchased
Email you relevant info or content you requested — which you can unsubscribe from with one click, anytime
Improve our website’s performance (via tracking pixels)
Show you more relevant ads (via Meta Pixel)
We only collect what’s necessary — no fluff, no selling your data to third parties.
5. Legal basis for processing (GDPR)
If you're based in the EU, we process your personal data under the following legal bases:
Consent — when you opt in to emails or marketing
Contract — when you purchase a product or service
Legitimate interest — for remarketing and site improvement
6. Cookies and tracking
Just like snacks keep snowboarders going, cookies help this site run smoothly.
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to:
Track what pages you visit and what actions you take (via Meta Pixel and Conversions API)
Measure and optimize ad performance
Understand which offers and content perform best
Improve your overall experience
The tools we currently use:
Meta Pixel: to track visitor behavior and retarget ads on Facebook and Instagram
Conversions API: to help improve tracking accuracy, especially with ad blockers
ThriveCart: may place cookies related to checkout and purchase tracking
Stripe: may use cookies for fraud prevention and secure payment processing
Hotjar: to analyze user behavior (e.g., heatmaps, clicks, and scroll depth). Helps us improve site usability based on anonymous usage patterns.
These tools may collect data like:
IP address
Browser and device type
Pages viewed
Purchase actions (if any)
Referring URLs or ad clicks
If you prefer not to be tracked, you can:
Adjust your browser settings to block or delete cookies
Use tools like YourOnlineChoices.eu or optout.aboutads.info to opt out of interest-based ads
7. Who we share your data with
We only share data with the trusted third-party tools we use to operate this business:
ActiveCampaign – email marketing
ThriveCart – checkout pages
Stripe – payment processing
Meta (Facebook/Instagram) – for ad targeting and performance
These companies process your data in compliance with their own privacy standards and data protection laws.
8. How we store and protect your data
Your data is securely stored within the platforms we use (ActiveCampaign, ThriveCart, Stripe). These tools follow industry-standard security practices and encryption.
We only retain your data for as long as needed — e.g. to fulfill a purchase, deliver content, or comply with tax laws.
9. Your rights (especially if you're in the EU/EEA)
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
Access your data
Correct your data
Request deletion
Withdraw consent at any time
Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
